APPROACH
KIN partnered with Nomi Network to produce a 7-module animated training course that transforms complex trauma-informed principles into clear, actionable guidance for employers. Through strategic storytelling and engaging animation, we produced short films that educate viewers on what human trafficking is, why trauma-informed workplaces matter, and how to identify and remove barriers survivors face. Each module was carefully designed to guide employers through assessing their current policies and adopting new practices rooted in dignity and care, ensuring the training honors survivors while equipping organizations to create lasting change.
THE CHALLENGE
Nomi Network recognized that while survivors of human trafficking face unique barriers in the workplace, most employers lack the knowledge and tools to create truly supportive, trauma-informed environments. To scale their impact and reach employers across industries, Nomi Network needed an accessible, comprehensive training program that could educate organizational leadership, HR departments, and direct supervisors on how to reform their practices and create workplaces where survivors can thrive.
OUTCOMES
The training course will equip employers across industries with the knowledge and tools to create trauma-informed workplaces, directly expanding employment opportunities for trafficking survivors and advancing Nomi Network's mission to end human trafficking through safe, sustainable work.
