APPROACH
KIN developed WCCP's brand identity from the ground up, creating a visual system that felt approachable yet serious, community-centered and trustworthy. We designed and built their website as a resource hub and produced a podcast series co-hosted by WCCP leaders and community voices, openly discussing child sexual abuse to break down barriers and reduce stigma. We also created social media graphics and printed materials for their impact campaign, ensuring WCCP could reach community members across multiple touchpoints.
THE CHALLENGE
The Whole Community Child Protection (WCCP) project, a partnership between Darkness to Light and Childhood USA, needed to launch a community-led initiative addressing child sexual abuse in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Child sexual abuse is uncomfortable to discuss, yet communities of color like Bed-Stuy are disproportionately impacted. WCCP needed a complete brand presence and platform to break through the silence, educate community members, and empower adults to prevent abuse.
RESULTS
The WCCP brand and podcast series successfully launched the organization's work in Bedford-Stuyvesant, providing accessible education and resources to prevent child sexual abuse. The podcast has sparked conversations that were previously silenced, and the cohesive brand presence has positioned WCCP as a trusted resource for vulnerable communities working to protect children.
